About Parched Home

Most online stores sell everything. Parched Home sells a small shelf of things worth drinking.

The idea is simple: before anything gets added to this store, it already has to be good. Not promising, not interesting in theory, not well-packaged. Actually good, as confirmed by real customers who paid real money for it and came back to say so.

I spend time reading reviews across the web before I add anything here. I look for the products that consistently make people stop and say something specific: that a tea changed their morning routine, that a broth is the only one they've found worth ordering again, that a coffee alternative finally tastes like the real thing. Those are the products that earn a place on this shelf.

The result is a catalog that's deliberately small. Teas, coffees, matchas, broths, and a few things that don't fit neatly into any category but belong here anyway. Nothing I wouldn't serve to someone I care about. Nothing added just to fill space.

The makers behind these products are independent, mostly small, and in every case doing something that a bigger company wouldn't bother with. A Korean broth made the way Korean mothers make it. A chai ground fresh every week by one person in New Mexico. A matcha from the specific prefecture in Japan where the best matcha actually comes from. These things exist because someone cared enough to make them properly, and they're here because enough people noticed.

Parched Home is not a large operation. It's one person paying attention to what's worth drinking, so you don't have to spend your time doing the same research.

If you have questions about any product, or want a recommendation for where to start, reach out. I'm happy to help.

How we choose what's on the shelf

  • Reviews first. Every product here already has a track record. We read what real customers say before we add anything.
  • Small makers only. We look for independent producers doing things a large company wouldn't bother to do properly.
  • Nothing unnecessary. If something isn't clearly worth its place on the shelf, it doesn't get a place on the shelf.
  • Liquids only. Teas, coffees, matchas, broths. Everything here is something you drink, because that's the category we know and care about.
