SMITH Matcha Green Tea No. 7 (Powdered, 1 lb)
The matcha Steven Smith Teamaker built for the Japanese tea ceremony: Tencha leaves harvested in early spring from Katsura in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, ground into a brilliant green powder. Rich, slightly sweet, and vegetal in the way real matcha should be. In a one-pound bag for serious daily drinkers.
Single-Origin · Spring Harvest · Ceremonial Grade · High Caffeine
Why we like it
- Steven Smith Teamaker is one of the most respected names in American specialty tea; this is their ceremonial matcha, built to the same standard as their loose-leaf teas
- Single-origin from Katsura, Gifu Prefecture, early spring harvest of Tencha leaves; specific provenance, not a generic blend
- One pound of ceremonial-grade matcha is a serious commitment and a serious value; for daily matcha drinkers this size makes sense
